Description
White Lodge is a lodge to Herringfleet Hall, built around 1840 with later additions. The building is constructed of white brick and stucco, topped with a slated roof, and is a single-storey structure designed in the form of a temple. It features a tetrastyle Greek Doric portico facing the entrance drive, while the rear has a matching blind portico. The lodge has a stucco frieze and a moulded pedimented cornice. The front is recessed with flanking antae, and it includes two sash windows in flush frames with moulded architraves, along with a central glazed door. There are later flat-roofed additions on each side, which have pilaster strips and an egg and dart brick cornice.
