Description

6 and 7 The Dell is a former pair of estate cottages, now a single dwelling, built in 1846 for workers on Hall Farm. The building features a picturesque estate style with a colourwashed red brick exterior and a modern pantiled roof. It has an asymmetrical form and stands two storeys tall. The windows are segmental-arched, 2-light casements with lattice panes, and there are gabled half-dormers on the upper floor. The two gable ends are slightly forward and each has a doorway with a gabled open porch; one door is boarded and the other is a mid-20th century door. The gables are adorned with scalloped bargeboards, and there are three chimney stacks with one, two, and three square shafts, all set diagonally.
