Description
Nos. 9, 11, and 13 Saxon Road is a terrace of three houses built in 1828. The houses are constructed of whole flint with brick dressings and have a pantiled roof. They are two storeys high. The front of the building features a blocked central carriage arch, which has been filled with a 20th-century door and a casement window with glazing bars. Each house has a 20th-century door on the ground floor, along with a 20th-century casement window to the left of each door. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements, with the central one dating from the 19th century. Between the two right-hand upper casements, there is an initial "H" and the date "1828," made from bottle ends. The roof is gabled with a ridge stack positioned to the right of centre. The north-east side of the building is rendered. The rear elevation includes a single-storey late 20th-century extension for Nos. 9 and 11, along with three late 20th-century first-floor casements.
