Description
Chediston Grove is an early 19th-century farmhouse, possibly dated by a stone by the gate inscribed 'GS 1806'. It is constructed of red brick with white brick facing on the facade, featuring a hipped roof that is slated at the front and pantiled on the remainder. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The slightly inset sash windows have glazing bars and are set under flat brick arches. The doorway features double three-panel doors, a plain semi-circular fanlight, and a reeded architrave, all beneath a Roman Doric portico supported by fluted columns and pilasters. The farmhouse has wide boarded eaves and two flat-roofed dormers, with two bay returns. Curved screen walls are set forward on either side of the house, each containing a recessed semi-circular headed panel.
