Description
Priory Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of timber framing with a plastered exterior, featuring a roof that is plain tiled at the front and pantiled at the rear. The building has two storeys and an attic in the right-hand section. It consists of a single long range divided into two sections; the left-hand section has slightly higher eaves but shares the same ridge height as the right. There are four windows in total, with two in each section, featuring large-paned casements from the 19th century. To the right of the left-hand section, there is a very shallow-gabled 19th-century brick porch that includes a six-panel door and a rectangular fanlight. Each section has an internal stack, with the one in the left section being heavier and centrally located. The roof over the left-hand section appears to have been replaced. The farmhouse is marked as Prairie Farm on maps.
