Description

These are early 19th-century stables, now partially used as garages and stores, located on Bealings Road, Martlesham. The building is constructed of gault brick with a slate roof. It has seven windows, four of which are blocked at the first floor level. At each end are double doors, originally full height with semi-circular arches. The central section features a pedimented projection with three doorways, two of which are blocked and have semi-circular arches. Two original doorways have been replaced with 20th-century doors and concrete lintels. A moulded brick string course runs around the building, and there is a coved cornice to the eaves.
