Description
Beaconhill House is a country mansion built in the early 19th century, featuring a rectangular plan with a lower section at the rear that was constructed at the same time as the main house. The building stands two storeys tall. The front elevation has a central projection topped with a pediment. It is made of gault brick and has a slated roof with a cornice and a central brick chimney stack.
The house has three windows on the first floor, which are sashes set in recessed frames with glazing bars and flat gauged arches. The ground floor windows are recessed and have segmental arches, consisting of three-light sashes with glazing bars. The central entrance is highlighted by a prostyle portico supported by pairs of Greek Doric columns, featuring an entablature adorned with triglyphs and a mutule cornice. The entrance doorway is framed with an architrave and has a raised and fielded lower panelled door with glazed panels above.
