Description

Myrtle's is an early 19th-century house and shop. The building is constructed of red brick, now with a modern cement render that mimics the appearance of ashlar, and has a pantiled roof. It is two storeys high, with a single-storey extension to the left. The front originally had a two-window arrangement. The first floor features sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, and a blank central panel. The ground floor has an original bowed shop window with 28 small panes, pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. There is a doorway with a replaced door. To the left, the extension has a 20th-century canted bay shop window with small panels, and a doorway with a boarded half-door.
