Description

Hollydene is a house built in the mid-19th century. It features small flint pebbles with white brick dressings and rusticated window surrounds, topped by a slated roof. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical facade, with brick pilasters at the quoins and on either side of the central bay. There are three windows with inset sashes that include glazing bars and flat arches with rustication. The doorway has a four-panel door, with the upper two panels made of stained glass, and is framed by an architrave with corner roundels, a frieze, and a cornice. The hipped roof is adorned with crest tiles along the ridge and has two stacks, each featuring four tapering pots. Hollydene is noted for its group value and as a well-preserved example of local materials.
