Description

The Beeches is a former 18th-century inn, now a private dwelling, situated on The Street in Wenhamston. The building is constructed of red brick, with pebbledash render to the gable ends, and is roofed with pantiles, with glazed tiles to the front slope. It is two storeys high and has a three-window front. The windows are 3-light casements with segmental arches. There are two prominent doorways; the left-hand doorway has a 6-panel door with the upper four panels glazed, a reeded frieze, a dentil cornice, and a broken pediment supported by brackets. The right-hand doorway is similar, with a 6-panel door and upper two panels glazed, panelled pilasters, a reeded frieze, a dentil cornice, and a broken pediment on brackets.
