Description

The Church of St Mary in Woodbridge dates back to the 15th century. It features a nave, two aisles, a tower, and a north porch, all constructed from knapped flint with flushwork and stone dressings. Inside, some original plaster cornices remain. The roodscreen, created by John Albrede in the 15th century, is notable despite being incomplete. The font is particularly impressive, showcasing representations of the Seven Sacraments. Additionally, there is a chapel from the 16th century built by Thomas Seckford, the Master of the Court of Bequests, who is buried in the church and died in 1587.
