Description

This is a 17th-century barn located immediately to the north of Whitehouse Farmhouse. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, standing on a high red brick plinth, and has a roof covered with corrugated iron. The barn consists of three bays, with an additional storeyed fourth bay on the west side. It features full height studs, some of which have primary braces, and trusses that include long arched braces. The roof is structured in five bays, supported by deep, narrow principal rafters and two rows of stepped butt purlins. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
