Description

The Stores is a house and former shop dating from the early to mid-19th century, with earlier work at the rear. It is constructed of red brick with a white brick facade and has a slated roof. The building is two storeys high and features a five-window range, arranged as three windows on one side and two on the other. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in flush frames, topped with flat stucco arches. The three-bay house has a central doorway that includes an inset six-panel raised and fielded door, a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars, panelled reveals, fluted pilasters, a frieze, and a bracketed cornice. To the left side, there is a shop front with mid-20th century windows flanked by original pilasters, and a central doorway with a mid-20th century door, fascia, and cornice.
