Description
The former steam mill, located 20 meters southeast of Wickham Mill, is now primarily used for storage, with a small section functioning as a shop. It was built in 1868, as indicated on the gable end beneath the lucam. The building features white brick on the south and west sides, while the rest is constructed of red brick, topped with a slated roof. It stands three storeys high with an attic and has a layout of three bays by two bays, featuring casement windows with cast iron lintels, along with some blank panels. On the west gable end, there is a vertically boarded lucam with shaped ends to the boards. Attached to the south is a single-storey former engine house, now serving as a shop, which includes a semi-circular window on the gable end. To the east, there is a tall lean-to boiler house that retains the small remnants of the stack on the south end. The building is said to incorporate bricks from a nearby tower windmill that once stood in the area.
