Description
Parham Old Hall is a house dating from the 16th century, with an early 17th-century cross wing to the north, forming an L-shaped plan. The building is timber framed, with parts plastered and roughcast rendered, and features a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic in the cross wing. Most windows are mid-20th-century casements, but the main range retains three original mullion windows: one at the front and two at the rear. There is a mid-20th-century door and porch at the gable end of the cross wing. The main range includes an internal stack with four hexagonal flues arranged in a sawtooth pattern, complete with moulded bases and caps. The cross wing has an external stack with two detached octagonal flues, also featuring moulded bases and caps. Inside, there is notable exposed timbering, original newel stairs, and a brick fireplace with a 4-centre arch on the first floor. The attic of the cross wing showcases a fine exposed roof structure.
