Description

Two headstones, located approximately 15 metres east-south-east of the Church of St Edmund, date from the early 18th century and are made of limestone. The northern headstone is rectangular with a bifurcated top, featuring a relief carving of a stylized skull above an inscription that commemorates Susan Cowling, who died in 1707. The southern headstone is also rectangular with a raised bifurcated top and has a plain inscription panel commemorating Susan Reeve, who died in 1717 at the age of 98.
