Description

This is a pair of headstones located approximately 5 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Edmund in Southwold. They date from the early 18th century and are simple rectangular monuments with a shaped head. One headstone is inscribed to Susan Simon, who died in 1713, while the other commemorates Lyell Church, featuring a carved hourglass and cross bones above the inscription.
