Description
The White House is a late 18th-century house constructed of white Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features an entrance front with three bays that are nearly symmetrical. Each bay has a large, round-headed relieving arch, and the windows are set in slightly sunken panels. The ground floor windows are shorter than those on the first floor and consist of four panes by four panes, which have been renewed in this century. Between the two left-hand windows, there is a front door with six raised and fielded panels, framed by a classical surround and an open pediment that encloses a fanlight. The first floor windows also have four panes by four panes, with the central window dipping lower. The left side of the house has red brick walling, and there is a two-storey outshut at the rear.
