Description

House, originally the rectory, dating from the early 19th century with later 19th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof. The original section of the house has a three-window front, featuring sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames; the ground-floor windows extend to ground level. The central bay projects forward and is topped with a pediment. A string course runs along the first-floor level. The central doorway is flanked by a pair of plain pilasters, with a four-light window above; a cornice sits above this. The doorway has a six-panel door, with the four upper panels glazed. The left-hand return front was extended and remodelled in the mid-19th century and now has a six-window range. To the right of the main front is a Victorian two-storey wing with a five-window range, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. Behind this wing is a three-storey tower with an eaves dentil course.
