Description
The Grange is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with an early to mid-18th century facade and a 19th century wing at the rear. It is timber framed, primarily covered in red brick, and has a plaintiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a five-window range. The windows on the three right-hand bays are sashes in flush frames with flat brick arches, while the two left-hand bays have mid-20th century two-light casements. The doorway includes a six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, and the left-hand doorway has been replaced by a full-height mid-20th century window. The exterior is finished with a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a flat parapet, and there is one internal stack and one gable end stack on the left-hand side. Inside, there is an imported 18th-century fireplace.
