Description
Eden Lodge, built in 1852, serves as the Urban District Council Offices. This early 19th-century building is two stories tall with a basement, constructed from Suffolk yellow brick and topped with a slate roof. It has an L-shaped layout. The entrance front faces north and features five windows, including a blank recess, with an advanced wing on the left and a later wing on the right. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and flat arches. The entrance is adorned with a porch in the mutular Doric order, complete with triglyphs and a six-panel door. The south front of the building includes a central bow.
