Description

Marston House, located at No 6 Cumberland Street, was built in 1852. This 18th-century building features two storeys and an attic, with three hipped dormers. It is constructed of red brick and includes a band and plinth. The roof is tiled, and there is a bracket cornice. The facade has five sash windows set in flush frames, which now only have central glazing bars, except for the central first-floor window and two dormers that display lozenge and diagonal glazing bars. The ground floor windows are fitted with three-panel shutters. The entrance features an eight-panel door with a fielded design, an enriched architrave, fluted Ionic pilasters, an enriched frieze, and a bracketed pediment.
