Description
Ingram, Smith and Son Buildings is a Grade II listed structure located on Quay Street, dating back to 1852. Originally built as a farmhouse in the early 18th century, the building has a main front that faces south and is two storeys high with an attic, featuring a gable end window. To the left is an early 19th-century wing made of brick. The main structure is timber framed and plastered, with a rendered plinth and tiled roof. It has three windows in flush frames, which now include central glazing bars. The entrance features a modern door set within a case that has shaped brackets and a pediment. The later part of the building includes a bracket cornice, is constructed of colourwashed brick, and has a slate roof, with a later brick wing facing the street to the north.
