Description
Cookley White House is a late 17th century to early 18th century building located near the southwest boundary of the Urban District. It is two stories high with an attic and features a gable end casement. The structure is timber-framed with plastered brick at one end and has a roof covered with glazed pantiles. There are three windows on each floor, which are mullion transom casements. The entrance includes a modern glass, two-panel fielded door that is topped with a semi-domed corniced hood, supported by double carved console brackets. Inside, the house has two-panel doors with H hinges throughout, original roof trusses and purlins, hewn chamfered beams, and an ovolo-moulded beam.
