The Elms is a 18th century building located at 1163 London Road, on the north-west side. It is two storeys tall with an attic and features two dormers at the rear. The exterior is finished in stucco that is lined to resemble ashlar stone. The roof is covered with slates and has a mutule cornice, along with a pediment above the central section that breaks forward by 4.5 inches, flanked by pilasters. The building has three sash windows with glazing bars and flush frames. The entrance includes a four-panel door topped by an arched radial bar fanlight. There is a band below the first-floor cills and a plinth at the base.
