Description

Number 9 on London Road is a 18th-century, two-storey building made of red brick and covered with pantiles. It features two sash windows with glazing bars and stuccoed flat arches. There is a square bay shop window with a wooden case supported by consoles beneath the cornice. The entrance has a six-panel door flanked by slender reeded pilasters and topped with an entablature. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 2, Nos 4 to 10 in sequence, and Nos 25 to 28 in sequence. Additionally, Nos 1 and 2 are grouped with No 38 and the White Lion.
