Description
No. 6 on London Road is an early 17th-century building that stands two stories tall and features two windows on its front. The exterior is plastered, lined, and painted, topped with a slate roof. On the first floor, there are two flush frame sash windows with glazing bars, while to the right is another flush frame sash window with glazing bars. The building has a plinth and a large splay bay shop on the left, which includes a wooden case with an entablature and an entrance to the left. Inside, there is a massive chamfered beam above a wide fireplace. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 2, Nos 4 to 10, and Nos 25 to 28 on the same street, as well as forming a group with No. 38 and the White Lion in the Thoroughfare.
