Description
No. 5 London Road is a 18th-century building that stands two stories tall with an attic. It features three windows on the front. The ground floor is finished in stucco that is lined and painted, while the first floor showcases mock timber framing. The roof is covered with pantiles. On the first floor, there are three flush frame sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance has been altered, and there is an altered door next to a flush frame sash window, also with glazing bars, on the left. To the right, there is a modern six-light bow window. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 and 2, as well as Nos. 4 to 10 and Nos. 25 to 28, which are all consecutive. Additionally, Nos. 1 and 2 form a group with No. 38 and the White Lion on Thoroughfare.
