Description

Nos. 29 and 30, Breadfield Street are a pair of early 17th-century buildings, formerly the Plough and Sail Inn. They are timber-framed and have been plastered with tiled roofs. The building features two large, diagonally-placed detached chimney shafts set on square bases. At the rear is a gabled central projection. The interior includes cove plaster cornices. The front has two windows with three-light casements, and at the rear are some leaded casements with mullion and transom lights. No. 30 has a two-panel door, while No. 29 has a flush four-panel door, both set within solid frames. Nos. 28 to 30 form a notable group.
