Description
This is a barn located 40 meters south of Henham House, dating from the early 18th century. It is primarily constructed with a timber frame and features tarred weatherboarding, while the south end is built of red brick. The barn has a hipped roof covered with glazed black pantiles and consists of seven bays. There are cart entrances in the second and fifth bays from the north, and porches on the east side, which are now connected by a later addition. The oak frame includes heavy straight bracing and bisected studs, with all but two of the open trusses retaining their long arched-braces. The roof structure comprises two rows of butt purlins and a ridge piece.
