Description

This is an early 19th century brick house, now colourwashed, situated on the north side of High Street in Nayland with Wissington. It has a long frontage facing north onto Fen Street. The north front features end pilasters and further pilasters centrally. The house is two storeys high, with a single window range on the west front and originally four on the north front, although one window is now blocked. Most of the windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The ground floor of the north front has some 19th century iron casements with glazing bars. The west front includes a 19th century shop front featuring glazing bars, pilasters, and a cornice. A four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight is located on the north front. The roof is covered in slate and is hipped.
