Description
Nos. 1-3 Church Street and No. 74 Water Street is a building dating from the 15th to 16th century, constructed with timber framing and plaster, and refronted in the early 18th century. A wing extends to the east on Water Street (No. 74). The roof is hipped and tiled. The timber framing is visible on the south side and on the upper storey of the north side. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range on the front. The upper storey has two old leaded casement windows, while the ground storey includes a small shop bay and two small modern bays. The north front, facing Water Street, has a two-window range of casements, one of which is an old leaded casement, along with some blocked original windows. The ground-storey windows are fitted with panelled shutters. There are two ridge chimney stacks, one of which has attached shafts. Inside No. 3, there is an 18th-century fireplace and a small cupboard.
