Description
Cemetery lodge built in 1856, constructed from cut flint with gault brick dressings and plain tile roofs. The building is two storeys high. The north front features a gabled projection to the right, with a single-storey bay window beneath a hipped roof, which includes a twin arched window with leaded glazing and a single opening leaf. Above this is a single-light arched window and a punched quatre-foil in the gable head. The bargeboards have reticulated decoration. The entrance is located at the angle with the main wall, protected by a gabled timber porch with open two-bay sides formed of timber trefoiled arches, leading to a plank inner door. The east front has a gable end similar to the north front, but the bay window consists of three transomed lights, and the first-floor window has two arched lights. The south front has a projecting gable like the east front, while the west front is similar but features twin arched windows in both the ground floor bay and the first floor. There is an external stack to the right with a single-light arched window on the ground floor and twin diamond flues, along with a second ridge stack that has triple diamond flues. The interior has not been inspected.
