Description

The White Hart Inn is a cross-wing building dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. The front block is two storeys high, with a timber frame and plaster exterior, covered in pebble-dash. The south-east end features an upper storey that projects forward, supported by curved brackets. The rear wing retains exposed timber framing. Originally, the front had a two-window range; the ground floor now has modern doors and lattice windows. The building forms a group with numbers 28 to 44 (even) on Bridge Street.
