Description

No. 84 High Street is a building likely dating from the 17th century. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, featuring a roof made of tiles and slates. The building has a cross wing at the south end that projects with an upper storey, and it is possible that there was another similar wing at the north end, which has since been destroyed. The front of the building has been significantly altered in the 18th century. It has a two-window range with flush frame sash windows that include glazing bars. At the back, the wing extends eastward. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 72 to 88 (even) and the King's Head Inn.
