Description

No. 68 on High Street is a building dating from the 16th to 17th century. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, and has tiled roofs. At the back, there are two wings extending eastward. The front of the building has been significantly altered, and the upper storey, which used to project, is now mostly underbuilt by a shop and a splay bay. The building features a three-window range with old three-light mullion transom casements, although these are no longer leaded. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 60 to 68 on the even side of the street.
