Maltings Cottage is a timber-framed and plastered house located on the north-west side of The Street in Little Waldingfield. It features 18th-century external characteristics and may include an earlier frame. The building has two storeys and a two-window range with casement windows. A central boarded door is set beneath a gabled porch. The roof is thatched and hipped at the north-east end.
