Description

St Mary's is a late 16th and 18th century building, originally timber-framed and plastered with tiled roofs, and incorporating cellars. The 18th-century facade has been roughcast and painted, with a coved plaster eaves cornice. It features a three-window range with modern sash windows. The south-west end has a large external stack dating from the 16th or 17th century, with two octagonal shafts that have been heightened. The building occupies an important position within the streetscape and is part of a group of listed buildings, which includes the King's Head Public House and the Transport Cafe on Bulmer Road.
