Description

A range of houses dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, originally timber-framed and plastered. Lime Cottage has a renovated front with decorative panel pargetting, while the rest of the range now exhibits exposed timber framing. The building has two storeys and a seven-window front, featuring small two- and three-light casement windows. The ground floor is divided into five small bays, each with its own tiled roof. A carriage entrance is located at the north end. The roof is tiled, replaced in the 20th century. A cottage at the southern end of the range has been demolished. The group value of the building lies in its historical development and representation of vernacular architecture.
