Description
No. 101 High Street is a building that likely dates from the 17th century or earlier, with significant alterations made to the front in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a two-storey structure that is timber-framed and plastered, with a slate roof. The front features an eaves board that is decorated with swags. There are three windows, which have flush frame sashes that no longer have glazing bars. The first floor has rusticated quoins, while the ground floor includes a modern shop front and a wooden doorcase adorned with a frieze of swags and an oblong fanlight. Inside the shop, there is a central plaster-decorated ceiling beam that has been painted over. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 61 to 107 (odd).
