Alpheton 1. 5377 Clapstile Farmhouse TL 85 SE 4/22 II

  1. A C15 hall house with C16 and C17 alterations. Timber-framed and plastered. 2 storeys. 4 window range on the west front C20 casement windows. A gabled modern porch projects on the front. A later wing extends to the east at the rear. Roof tiled, with a C16 chimney stack with 4 grouped octagonal shafts (shortened at the top) on a square base. The interior has exposed timber framing, beams and ceiling joists.
