Description

Gower's Farmhouse is a 15th to 16th century hall house that was floored in the 17th century. It features a plastered timber frame with some areas of fragmentary pargetting and has a thatched roof with gabled ends. The farmhouse has a rebuilt brick chimney stack that is off centre and stands two storeys tall. There are some small original mullion windows, while others have been rebuilt in the original style. The doorway is located on the front of the chimney stack. To the left of the front is a dairy wing, which is timber-framed with brick infill and has a pantile gabled roof. At the rear, there is a large external brick chimney stack. Inside, the hall is now floored and includes arched braces to the tie-beam and wind braces.
