Description
The table tomb and enclosing railings, located approximately 14 metres south of the south wall of the chancel of the Church of St Lawrence, date from the 18th century and are associated with the Byles family, with dates of 1797 and 1799 inscribed. The tomb features a moulded rim on the top slab, along with a moulded plinth and cornice. Each side of the tomb has two moulded panels, and there are single end panels. The cast iron railings are set into a stone base and include corner columns with moulded bases and capitals, lidded urn finials, and dagger heads on the rails.
