Description
Street Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered building originating from the 15th to 16th century, featuring cross wings at the north-west and south-east ends. It has been significantly altered over time and stands two storeys high. The south-east cross wing showcases a jettied upper storey at the front, with the timber-framing visible on the south-east end. The north-west cross wing was added or rebuilt at a later date. The central block includes a large jettied gabled dormer, which displays the initials W. B. above the date 1880. The ground storey at the front is faced in red brick, and the building has casement windows. The roof is tiled and features a tall ridge chimney stack with a diagonally set shaft, as well as an external chimney stack at the north-west end, which has tabled offsets and a cruciform shaft. Inside, the building retains exposed timber-framing and a crown post roof.
