Description

A 15th-century timber-framed and plastered building, located on the corner of Market Lane and High Street in Lavenham. The building, formerly the One Bell Inn, exhibits walls that lean outward noticeably. The roof is tiled. The building has undergone renovation, with most of the timber framing now exposed. It is two storeys high and features a three-window range of double-hung sash windows with single vertical glazing bars. The ground floor has two splayed bays with slate roofs, and there is an original, blocked window on the upper floor. A central doorway is flanked by pilasters and topped with a cornice. The south end of the building features restored windows, including one double-hung sash window with glazing bars arranged in a two-light pattern.
