Description

Balsdon Hall Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof, situated on a moated site. The house has been renovated and modernised on the outside. Inside, the timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists are exposed. While the structure is mainly from the 17th century, it includes older features such as a straight flight of solid oak stairs supported by heavy bearers and a blocked window with diamond mullions and shutter grooves, which may be remnants of earlier houses.
