  1. A timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof standing on a moated site. The present house has been renovated and modernised externally. The timber-framing, ceiling beams and joists are exposed internally. Mainly of the C17 but incorporating ancient features including a straight flight of solid oak stairs on heavy bearers and a blocked window with dimaond mullions and shutter grooves, possibly fragments of earlier houses.
