Description

The Rectory is a late 18th century red brick building with a slate roof, featuring a hipped roofline and a moulded wooden cornice. The building is set back from the street within its own grounds. It is two storeys high and has a five-window facade of double-hung sash windows with single vertical glazing bars, set within flush cased frames. A two-storey splayed bay window projects on the east side. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with a fanlight, set within a wooden doorcase. The doorcase has panelled reveals, an architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a pediment, and is approached by a short flight of steps. The building was altered in the 19th century.
