Description

Weavers Cottage is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th century, with a later addition. Originally, the hall block stood at a right angle to the road, and a two-storey addition to the east now creates an L-shaped plan. The windows are casement windows with glazing bars. The older section features two ranges of small arched windows with five lights on either side of a modern casement window. A blocked original window with three arched lights and a carved sill sits on the interior. The central four-panel door has an architrave and cornice. The roof is tiled, with a central chimney stack. Inside the hall block is a moulded crown post, and Tudor door heads are also present.
