Description

This barn, located about 50 metres south-west of Sproughton Hall, dates from the 16th century and is aligned north-south. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a half-hipped thatched roof. The structure likely consists of five bays, with a three to four bay barn and a storeyed bay to the north on the west side. It features a large pair of doors, along with a small door and window in the left-hand bay. The frame includes halved braces with curved braces supporting the beams. Inside, there is a clasped purlin roof with one row of collars and some wind braces.
