Description

Nos 37 and 39 on High Street are two 19th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall and are constructed of painted brick. Above the first floor, there is a tablet inscribed with "JG 1840." The buildings feature one and two windows respectively, which are recessed sash windows with glazing bars and flat lintels. The slate roof has wide eaves. The ground floor of No 37 has a wooden shop front with pilasters leading to a wooden case, while No 39 contains two shops at the ground level. These buildings, along with Nos 15 to 39 (odd) and Groves Garage, form a cohesive group.
